Dr Kamal Karl

Dr Kamal Karl specialises in treating chronic illness with an integrative, personalised and regenerative medicine approach. Dr Karl qualified as a medical graduate in 1978 from India and immigrated to NZ in 1987 with his wife, Avani, who is also a Medical Practitioner.
He has been practising Integrative Medicine for the last 20 years and is passionate about sharing his knowledge to help others. Dr Karl is an invited speaker and educator regularly at conferences in New Zealand and internationally, as well as corporate wellness seminars.

After 30 years in General Practice, Dr Avani Karl has assimilated her experience and transitioned to Functional Medicine for the past five years. With a focus in treating chronic illness with a special interest on women’s and children’s health, you can be assured of an integrative and personalised approach.

CONSULTATION & RECOMMENDATIONS
New Patients
Dr Kamal Karl & Dr Avani Karl- Approximately 90 minutes
- Fee: $795
- Initial $250 (non-refundable deposit) is payable at the time of booking once an appointment is confirmed.
- If the first appointment is scheduled to be a virtual/phone consultation, the full initial consult fee will need to be paid prior to the appointment.
Existing Patients
Drs Kamal and Avani Karl- Usually 30-60 minutes
- Fee: $295 – $500
- We recommend follow up consults as needed
- Cost is between $295-$500 depending on the time and complexity of the health issues.
Additional information regarding fees
- All fees are expected to be paid is full on the day of consultation unless determined by prior arrangement.
- Please note the above fees apply to residents living in NZ and Pacific Islands. Overseas patients from outside these regions may attract different costs.
- Children under 12 years may be charged a reduced fee.
- Specialised lab testing (either in New Zealand or overseas) usually attracts extra fees, but routine tests are funded and free under the current New Zealand health policy.
- Please note, missed appointments and any change or cancellation requested within 48 hours will incur the full cost of consultation.
Disclosure
Dr Karl may receive speaker fees and/or travel costs from industry or institutions when asked to speak on issues related to integrative health, functional medicine and anti-ageing medicine.
